Threads Coffee Break

Ok so I am connected to an organization called Threads that publishes studies and resources for people in their 20's and 30's.  I had the great fortune, "right time, right place" to have a chance to write for them.  Seriously, it was straight out of the twilight zone how getting to write a couple of Bible studies worked out.  Never saw that coming.

Anyway, they are doing a interactive video chat time online through something called OOVOO.  They are letting readers chat with the authors in a virtual meet and greet.

So if you are interested in checking it out.  Here is the vital info.

Virtual Coffee Break registration page: http://www.threadsmedia.com/index.php?/showcase/

The Threads Virtual Coffee Break is a week-long conversation between Threads authors/team members and you (and up to four other people.) If you have some specific questions for a Threads author or just like the idea of getting to have a virtual coffee break with him or her, then all you need to do are these four things:
  1. Check your broadband Internet connection. Seems like a given for an online video conversation…but we don't want to assume anything here.
  2. Use your webcam and headset. If your webcam has a microphone built in, just use some headphones/earbuds so there's not audio feedback for everyone else.
  3. Download a free copy of ooVoo <http://oovoo.com/> , the video chat software. Get your copy of ooVoo at http://oovoo.com <http://oovoo.com/> .
  4. Sign up for a 30 minute conversation <http://www.threadsmedia.com/index.php?/showcase/> . Join a conversation with the person of your choice. If you want to sign up for more than one half hour slot with a different person, feel free to do so. Please don't sign up for more than one time per author.
  5. The participants for the virtual coffee break week are:
Mark Batterson, author of Chase the Lion: Stepping Confidently Into the Unknown
Derek Leman, author of Feast: Finding Your Place at the Table of Tradition
Mike Harder, author of Jaded: Rediscovering Hope in Reality and InTransit: What Do You Do With Your Wait?
Jason Hayes, Young Adult Ministry Specialist, LifeWay
Michael Kelley, author of The Tough Sayings of Jesus I and II
Jen Hatmaker, author of upcoming Threads study: A Modern Girl's Guide to Bible Study
Jim Johnston, Director of Young Adult Ministry, LifeWay
Todd Phillips, Author of Get Uncomfortable: Serve the Poor. Stop Injustice. Change the World...in Jesus' Name <http://www.threadsmedia.com/index.php?/showcase/

I am on both Monday and Tuesday from 2-4pm.

come chat.

In the Beginning!

Well, I have finally joined the bloggosphere.  This is going to be a cool space where you get to be in my mind for a while.  I dont know if being inside my mind is a happy place or scary place but it is a place none the less.  Hopefully through this blog you and I will be better friends and better people.
